All Right用法种种

All right或That's all right或That'll be all right是口语中经常说的一个成语，初中课本中多次出现，现将其用法归纳如下：
一、表示答应对方请求：
1．---Please tell her to come to the teacher's office as soon as she comes back．
---All right．I'll do that．(BⅣ p116)
2. ---Will you buy me a new one?
--- All right．I'm just going out to do some shopping now (BⅢ P98) ．
二、当对方向你征求意见，你表示同意：
1. ---What about the one next to it? It's cheaper.
---That'll be all right．(BⅢ P99)
2. ---Shall we go by bus?
---All right．(BⅣ P4)
三、当对方向你致谢时，你可用all right表示“不用谢”的意思：
---Thankyou．---That's all right．(BV P14)
四、当对方向你道歉时，你可用all right，相当于It doesn't matter或Never mind，即“没关系”：
---I'm sorry，I'm late．---That’s all right.
五、All right按字面理解是“一切都好”可以用来表示身体好、情况不错、很顺利等等：
1. Die！You must die, Tom. You’ll be all right soon.(BIV p76)
2．His work is always all right． 。
3．Did you catch your train all right?
要注意All right与That's right不一样，后者表示肯定，相当于汉语的“对的”、“说得不错”，两者不能混淆：
---Then you've known each other for about two years.
---That's right．(BⅣ P93)
