rest Ⅰ/rest/ n. (与the连用) 其余的人或物(作主语时谓语视情况用pl.或sing.)：He lived the  rest of his life in the U.S. 他在美国度过余生。Three of us will go; the rest are to stay here.我们三个人去，其余的人将留在这儿。
