［辨析］bear, endure, stand和tolerate均有“容忍”，“忍受”之义，其中bear, endure和stand常用在含有can’t的否定句中，如：I can’t bear/stand/endure the new teacher. bear与stand表示一般程度，endure则强烈些。bear, endure和stand都能表示“忍受”身体方面的不适，尤其是endure, 如：He endured/bore/stood the pain as long as he could. tolerate表示 容忍某个人或行为，不能表示忍受某种痛苦，如：I won’t tolerate your rudeness.
